Sailor rescued after boat capsizes near Penzance

A lone sailor has been rescued after suffering head injuries when his sailing boat capsized three miles (4.8km) off Cornwall, near Penzance.

The alarm was raised at about 1100 BST after the overturned dinghy was spotted by the volunteers of the National Coastwatch Institute at Cape Cornwall.

The Sennen Cove lifeboat was launched to rescue the man.

The RNLI said the man was recovered and then brought back to shore for a medical check.
