Cornwall fatal car crash passenger named

A woman who died in a road accident in Cornwall has been named by police as a 76-year-old from Mevagissey.

Wendy Mary Buttery was a passenger in a Peugeot 307 which crashed at Trispen, near Truro, on Saturday. No other vehicles were involved.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a man in his 70s, was treated for shock and taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

The A39 was closed while police carried out an investigation.
