Two rescued from stricken yacht near Tresco

Two people have been rescued by a lifeboat after two yachts ran aground off the Isles of Scilly.

The St Mary's lifeboat was launched at about 0300 BST after the Medley and the Sentinel ran aground on rocks near Cromwell's Castle, Tresco.

The Medley managed to get off the rocks unaided but the Sentinel needed to be towed free.

The Medley got off the rocks on the rising tide and the Sentinel was pulled clear by 0400 BST.
