Killed Newquay motorcyclist named as Francis Rhodes

A motorcyclist killed in a collision near Newquay has been named by police.

Francis Leonard Rhodes, 63, from the Newquay area, was in collision with an Audi on the A3059 at Skase Hill.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday morning. A woman driving the car was treated at the Royal Cornwall Hospital for shock.

The road was closed for more than nine hours while police investigated. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
