A couple from Cornwall have returned from a 10,000-mile (16,093km) cycle ride in aid of the charity ShelterBox.

Huw and Carolyn Thomas, from Truro, have spent the last year pedalling across North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe on their tandem bike.

The pair towed one of the plastic ShelterBoxes to raise awareness of the Cornish disaster relief charity.

ShelterBox said the couple had raised over £47,000.
