Dutch yacht towed into Cornwall after engine failure
A Dutch yachtsman has been towed into port after getting into difficulty off Land's End.
A search was started after the radio and engines on his 30ft (10m) boat failed off Land's End on Wednesday night, Falmouth Coastguard said.
The Sennen Cove and St Ives lifeboats were called out, along with coastguard teams from Penzance and Land's End.
Falmouth Coastguard said the sailor, in his 30s, had not slept for 46 hours. His vessel was towed into Newlyn.
It was the third time the lone sailor needed assistance since he arrived in the English Channel, Falmouth Coastguard said.
He first reported problems to Portland Coastguard on 2 August, it added.
