Four arrested over drugs found in car in Cornwall

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs after a vehicle was stopped in Cornwall.

Police officers stopped the vehicle - heading in the direction of Newquay - on the A3059 near St Mawgan at 05:50 BST on Tuesday.

The discovery of a large quantity of white powder was made, which the police believed to be cocaine.

Two 21-year-old men and an 18-year-old man, all from Huddersfield, remain in custody.

Inspector Ian Drummond-Smith said: "This week is the busiest of the year in Newquay owing to the Boardmasters and Unleashed Festivals and I am glad that these drugs are off the streets for the weekend."
