'Heart attack' fisherman rescued off Cornwall coast

A French fisherman has been airlifted to hospital after having a suspected heart attack while onboard a boat off the North Cornwall coast.

A rescue helicopter from Chivenor took the man to the North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple, a spokesperson for the coastguard said.

He was in his forties and his condition was not believed to be life threatening, the spokesperson added.

The the rescue operation started at about 07:00 BST on Saturday.
