Man found with leg injuries in Launceston lay-by

A man found in a lay-by in Cornwall with serious leg injuries may have been struck by a vehicle.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the 21-year-old man was found just before 05:30 BST on Monday in a lay-by on the A388 at Polson, near Launceston.

He was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where his injuries were described as serious, but not life threatening.

Officers believe the man may have been walking on the A388 when he was hit.

Anyone with information, or anyone who saw saw a man walking along the A388 during the early hours of Monday morning should contact police.
