Cornish pensioner dies in A30 crash at Okehampton

A woman from Cornwall has been killed in a car crash on the A30 in Devon.

The 77-year-old victim from Camelford, was travelling in a Rover car when it collided with the central barrier at Whiddon Down near Okehampton.

The incident happened at about 19:30 BST on Monday. The woman died later in hospital.

The road was closed for two and a half hours. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved and next-of-kin have been informed.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the crash.
