Cornwall PCSO Peter Bunyan faces charges of misconduct

A police community support officer from Cornwall has been charged with misconduct in a public office by abusing his position to have sex with two women.

Peter Mark Bunyan faces six counts of misconduct in relation to three women whose police computer records he allegedly accessed.

The offences are said to have taken place between 2007 and January 2011.

PCSO Bunyan is due to appear at Truro Magistrates' Court on 3 November.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been overseeing the investigation by Devon and Cornwall Police.

It said Mr Bunyan faced two charges of abusing his position to have sexual relationships with women, one of sending "sexualised text messages" to a third woman while on duty and three charges of accessing the women's records.
