Arrest after 'disgusting racist attack' in Bodmin

Police are investigating what they have described as a "disgusting racist attack" against a shopkeeper in Cornwall.

The Asian victim had paint thrown over him, his till and the counter of the Costcutter shop in Bodmin by a gang of at least four youths in their teens.

He was also verbally abused during the incident between 20:00 and 21:00 GMT at the store in Fore Street, police said.

One person has been arrested over the incident.
