Girl arrested over racist attack on Bodmin shopkeeper

Police are questioning a 14-year-old girl about a racist attack on a shopkeeper in Cornwall.

The Asian victim had paint thrown over him, his till and the counter of the Costcutter shop in Bodmin on Saturday.

He was also verbally abused during the incident between 20:00 and 21:00 GMT at the store in Fore Street, police said.

A girl who was arrested after the incident remains in police custody, said a spokesman for the Devon and Cornwall force.
