Cornish businesses asked to have say in future economy

Businesses and voluntary groups are being urged to have their say on the future of Cornwall's economy.

Fifteen roadshows are being staged by the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), which is replacing the work of the Regional Development Agency.

The LEP is a private and public sector partnership set up to encourage economic growth and job creation.

The LEP said the roadshows would give companies a real say in the development of a new countywide economic strategy.

It said it wants businesses to set the priorities for the future.

The opening event is being held at the Eden Project.

The road shows would continue until 13 January, the LEP said.
