Whitsand Bay rock slip man suffers leg injuries

A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries after slipping on rocks in Cornwall.

Brixham Coastguard co-ordinated the rescue after the alarm was raised at 09:30 GMT.

The 46-year-old man, who is believed to be local, was fishing with a friend at Treganhawke in Whitsand Bay when the accident happened.

The man was flown to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital by the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
