Police investigate reports of women being followed in Falmouth

Police are investigating after eight separate women reported being followed by a man in a Cornish town.

The individual women told Devon and Cornwall Police they were followed by a man who brushed against them before running off.

The incidents, which have been linked, occurred in the Conway Road and Trelawney Road areas. The first report was in October, the last on 4 December.

The suspect is described as in his 20s. He wore a hoody and jogging bottoms.

Det Supt Dave O'Neill, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said anyone who had been approached or followed should contact the police and urged lone women not to put themselves in "a vulnerable situation" in the town.
