Horses killed and two drivers injured in St Agnes crash

Two people have been seriously injured and two horses have been killed in a crash in Cornwall.

The accident, involving two vehicles, happened at 07:20 GMT on the B3277 between Chiverton Cross and St Agnes.

Devon and Cornwall Police said both drivers involved in the crash had been badly hurt.

The road was closed for several hours to allow accident investigators to examine the scene. It has now been reopened.

"We have to treat the scene as a crime scene, making sure the investigation is complete but also that it is safe."
