Cornish band Auction for the Promise Club has released its debut EP.

Recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London, One is released in late February.

In the lead-up to the release of the EP, the band has played support slots for Paolo Nutini, Martha Wainright, Pendulum and Reverend and The Makers.

The group has already gained attention from national radio presenters, including BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson.

Talking about recording at Abbey Road, Zoe White Chambers from the band said: "It was brilliant, amazing experience.

"You will be playing on a piano there, and they will say: 'Oh, so-and-so and so played on this'.

"It's quite hands-on. You can just get on with what you want to play, really. We also had a go on the piano the Beatles used."

The band has racked up performances at some of the country's most renowned venues, including Liverpool's Cavern Club, The Factory/Fac251 in Manchester, Birmingham's Gatecrasher and the ICA in London.

The band has also recently released a video for the track Under China, which is on YouTube.

Their YouTube channel also features intimate footage moving from Abbey Road Studios to the snow-clad winter wonderland of Cube Recordings to document the recording of the EP.

The band will be launching the EP at the Stannary in Falmouth on 25 February, followed by gigs at The Clipper Bar in Camborne on 23 March and Driftwood Spas on 24 March.

Auction For The Promise Club is: Zoe White Chambers - singer/guitarist/painter of EP artwork; Toby White Chambers - drums, and Perran Tremewan - guitars/keyboards.
