Newquay barn catches fire after car crash

Fire crews have put out a fire in a barn which was found alight after a car crashed into it.

Cornwall Fire Service said two fire engines were called to the barn at Trenissick, near Newquay, at about 00:30 BST.

The vehicle was found to be alight and the fire had spread to the barn.

The occupants of the car fled and Devon and Cornwall Police were called so a police dog and handler could search the area, the fire service said.
