Teenager arrested after Royal Mail van stolen

A teenager has been arrested after a stolen Royal Mail van collided with three vehicles in Cornwall.

The van was taken from Callington Road in Saltash after a man threatened a Royal Mail staff member and stole a set of keys at about 17:15 BST on Tuesday.

Police said the van was pursued by officers for 10 minutes before colliding with the vehicles and leaving the road near Landrake.

An 18-year-old man from Bodmin has been arrested.

He was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for treatment.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police are waiting to question the suspect. No-one else was injured in the incident.
