Eight people hurt in two-car collision in Truro

Eight people have been injured, two of them seriously, in a two-car collision in Truro.

Firefighters took an hour to free two people who were trapped in one of the vehicles early on Sunday morning.

The collision took place on the A39 at Arch Hill after the crash was reported at about 00:45 BST.

The two people cut free were taken to hospital. One person was not injured. The road was closed for several hours for police investigations.
