Driver charged after Looe railway line blocked by van

A 29-year-old man has been charged with drinking and driving after a van blocked a section of railway in south-east Cornwall.

Police found the vehicle on the Looe branch line shortly before midnight on Wednesday and arrested the man.

The man has been bailed to appear at Bodmin magistrates on 3 July.

The line was closed on Thursday morning with commuters travelling between Looe and Liskeard taken by bus. No-one was hurt and the line has since reopened.
