Two die from 'strong heroin' in Illogan and Truro

Two suspected drug users have died in Cornwall as a result of a batch of "particularly strong and cheap heroin", police believe.

A 47-year-old man was found dead in Illogan, near Redruth, on Wednesday, and the body of a 36-year-was discovered in Truro on Thursday.

Both deaths were suspected to be drug overdoses.

Post-mortem examinations were to be carried out on the bodies, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Officers added that they were liaising with drug support agencies to make them aware of the situation.
