Bodmin plans for 3,200 homes on display

Plans to build 3,200 homes in a Cornish town during the next 20 years have been put forward by the local authority.

A consultation by Cornwall Council has started which could see the homes built at various sites in and around Bodmin.

Some critics fear that the town does not have the infrastructure to cope with the new builds.

However, the authority said it had plans to build new amenities and roads for the homes. The consultation on the proposals will end on 22 April.

In February, the authority announced 38,000 homes would be built in Cornwall over the next 20 years.
