Man dies and woman injured in Hayle A30 crash

A man has died and a woman has been injured in a crash in Cornwall.

The pair were travelling on the A30 at Loggans, Hayle, when the crash happened at about 03:00 BST.

The 38-year-old man who was driving was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital with minor injuries, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

No other vehicle was involved, officers said. The road was closed for 11 hours for investigation work.
