Falmouth firefighters rescue woman from burning flat

A semi-conscious woman was pulled from a blaze at a flat in Cornwall.

Firefighters broke down the door of the flat in Arwenack Avenue, Falmouth, and carried the woman to safety.

The building was evacuated as crews tackled the cooker fire in a kitchen on the third floor.

Chief Fire Officer Des Tidbury praised a "great job" by the crew in getting the woman out of the flat. She was taken to hospital but her condition is not known.
