A 21-year-old woman accused of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a home for vulnerable people in Cornwall has been remanded in custody.

Eleven people were evacuated from the sheltered accommodation on Eastbourne Road in St Austell on Thursday morning.

The fire damaged a first-floor room and also spread to the roof.

Francesca Jones, from Eastbourne Road in St Austell, was remanded by Bodmin magistrates to appear Truro Crown Court on 25 September.
