RNLI lifeguards save Porthcothan cliff fall dogs

12 September 2013 Last updated at 17:28 BST

Two dogs trapped by the sea after falling from cliffs off the Cornish coast have been rescued.

RNLI beach lifeguards and two coastguard cliff rescue teams worked together to save the "frightened and aggressive" dogs.

The dogs were pulled from the water onto a lifeguard's paddle board before being put into a basket and winched by rope up the cliffside.

Neither of the animals were seriously hurt.
