Clearance work is due to begin at the site of a landslip in Cornwall which killed a woman.

Traffic restrictions will be in place in Sandplace Road in Looe for a month while clearance works are carried out on Veronica Flats, which was affected by the landslip in March.

Susan Norman, 68, died when her flat collapsed in the landslide.

The work would allow investigations into the landslip to continue, Cornwall Council said.

The local authority said traffic in Sandplace Road be controlled by temporary lights during the day and closed between 20:00 and 00:00.

It is not expected that the road closure will be required every night - when the road is closed signed diversions will be in place.

St Martin's Road will continue to remain under traffic light control.

Mrs Norman died when Veronica Flats collapsed following heavy rain.

Her family said earlier this year Mrs Norman had concerns about her home's structural safety.

Devon and Cornwall Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the landslip.
