One of Cornwall's visitor attractions has gone on the market for the first time in 13 years.

The Springfields Fun Park and Pony Centre has been put up for sale by its owners for £850,000.

The 32-acre (13 hectare) site has a boating lake, an indoor play centre and an eight-acre (three hectare) wood which is home to deer and wild buzzard.

The current owners are selling the attraction, at St Columb Major near Newquay, due to pending retirement.

John Kinsey, director at the hotels and hospitality team of Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "The sale includes a substantial detached house with potential to be redesigned into a three-bedroom home with annexe.

Mr Kinsey said he thought the sale would "generate strong interest in the market."

Late last year Flambards, which went on the market for the first time in almost 40 years, was bought by Livingstone Leisure Ltd, who said it aimed to develop the park and museums.
