Man dies in A30 lorry collision

A man has died in a road collision in Cornwall, police have said.

Officers were called to the A30, near the Tolvaddon junction, Redruth, after the collision at about 17:50 BST on Friday between a Ford Galaxy and a lorry on the westbound carriageway.

The front seat passenger of the Galaxy, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

The female driver of the people carrier suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The lorry driver was uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours for a forensic investigation, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
