Two men have pleaded not guilty to murdering a driving instructor whose body was found at a disused mine.

Kevin Cooper, 33, and Trewen Kevern, 21, denied murdering David Alderson, 72, whose body was found at the Wheal Maid mine in west Cornwall in January.

Mr Cooper, of Poldary View, Carharrack, was remanded in custody and Mr Kevern, of Ashfield View, Falmouth was bailed at Exeter Crown Court.

Mr Alderson's death was initially treated as a cycling accident.

The trial is due to start on 20 April at Truro Crown Court.
