Woman's body found in the River Camel in Wadebridge

Police are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in a river in Cornwall.

A member of the public found the body in the River Camel in Wadebridge, near a rugby club, at about 09:15 GMT, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Insp Graham Thomas said police were "unsure of the exact circumstances" of the death and it was currently being treated as unexplained.
