A woman whose husband is accused of carrying out a doorstep acid attack has denied perverting the course of justice.

Nicole Phillips, 45, from Hastings, East Sussex, entered a not guilty plea when she appeared at Truro Crown Court.

Andreas Christopheros, 29, was critically injured when acid was thrown in his face in the December attack.

Mrs Phillips' husband David, 48, who has denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent, also appeared in court.

Judge Christopher Harvey Clark ordered the pair be tried jointly on a date to be decided.
