Arrest after car crash in Coventry kills teenage boy

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a teenage boy was killed when a car crashed through a fence.

The crash happened in the Willenhall area of Coventry between Robin Hood Road and Remembrance Road at just after 2110 BST on Saturday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the boy had died at the scene.

West Midlands Police said a 41-year-old woman from Coventry had been arrested and bailed.

A police spokesman said they are appealing for witnesses to the collision to get in touch.
