Two men suspected of murdering a man in Coventry have been named by detectives.

Darren Dalton, 31, and Joseph Bourne, 36, are wanted in connection with the stabbing of 48-year-old Harold Barnes.

Mr Barnes, a father-of-three, called 999 from outside an address in Hillmorton Road after being stabbed, on 20 April. He died later in hospital.

West Midlands Police said it believed the suspects, who are from the Coventry area, are being harboured by associates in the city.

'Targeted attack'

Det Ch Insp Steven Reed said he believed Mr Barnes, from Wood End, Coventry, knew the suspects.

"This was not a random attack," he said.

"We believe there was some sort of motive connected to the stabbing.

"All the evidence points to these two suspects still being in the local area and lying low with the help of associates.

"Several arrests have been made and more than 70 premises across Coventry searched to find Mr Barnes' killers."
