Intruders threaten family of four in Bedworth

A family were threatened by two men with a handgun who broke into their home and stole money.

The men kicked in the back door of the house in Bedworth, Warwickshire, and threatened the woman and her three young daughters inside.

Police said the mother was held by her hair in front of her daughters during the break-in which took place during the early hours.

The men took more than £600 before running out of the house.

The incident took place close to the Towers Estate.

Police said it was frightening for all four of the victims but no-one had been hurt.

Anyone who saw two men acting suspiciously in the estate either late Wednesday night or during the early hours should contact police.

The men are described as white with one being in his early 20s and wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up.

The second wore a white hooded top with the hood up.
