Free parking extended at Coventry's University Hospital

Parking charges are being scrapped for the first half hour at Coventry's University Hospital from July.

The hospital said it could not ignore feedback that the cost of parking was undermining the experience of people who visited the site.

The move followed consultation with patients, staff, councillors and MPs.

It will be £2 for the next half hour and £2.80 for up to two hours, a cut of 20p. Concessions to allow some people to park free of charge will remain.
