Man bailed over Bulkington village shooting

A 38-year-old arrested in connection with the murder of a man in a Warwickshire village has been released on police bail.

David Gower, 40, of Rugby Road, Bulkington, was stabbed three times in the chest and shot in the village on Sunday afternoon.

The man was arrested along with three women and another man on Monday. All have now been released on bail.

Police are appealing for witnesses and a £5,000 reward has been offered.

Crimestoppers has put up the money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

In a statement, a police spokesman said: "Police continue to appeal for members of the public who were in the area of Rugby Road, Bulkington, near to its junction with Wolvey Road, on Sunday afternoon between 4pm - 5pm, and who saw anything unusual, or who has any information about the murder."
