The BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Band of the Month for August are Coventry's Luna Kiss.

The four-piece are celebrating the release of their debut album after spending the past year writing and recording.

Released on the 25 July, Echoes of Sound will hopefully gain as much air-play as their previous songs, which have been played around the globe.

Their aim is to "desire to do nothing but please the ears of strangers".

Chris, James and Will met while studying music at Leamington College and decided to form a band. After a later addition of Ross on bass guitar, they were able to combine all of their influences and musical skills and bring Luna Kiss to life.

Speaking about the release of their album, the band said: "It feels great. It's been a long process and a steep learning curve, but we're a better band for it.

"It's good to have something solid to show for our hard work too. Its not just an EP we recorded in our bedrooms, it was recorded in a professional studio and we commissioned two oil paintings for the artwork.

"We hope that our fans appreciate the work we put in to make it as professional as possible."
