Warwickshire crash: Cyclist on life support machine

A cyclist is on a life support machine following a crash in Warwickshire.

Police said the 60-year-old man was injured in a collision involving a bike and a white van.

The crash happened on the A46, about 100m prior to the A452 Leamington Spa exit sliproad, on the southbound carriageway on Saturday.

Police said the driver of the van failed to stop immediately after the collision but later returned to the scene and was arrested.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Two lanes of the A46 were closed while a police search team recovered evidence.

Warwickshire Police have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
