A new foot and cycling bridge has been lifted into place in Warwickshire.

The bridge over the A429 Coventry Road in Kenilworth is part of an off-road route to Warwick University.

The route, which uses the former Kenilworth to Berkswell railway line, is not yet in use. It will be officially opened on 29 September.

County Councillor John Whitehouse said: "A colleague called it 'history in the making' and, in a little local way in Kenilworth, that's exactly what it is."
