The family of a 21-year-old Warwickshire man who died in a car crash say he will be "dearly missed".

George Ireland, of Stockton, died on 15 September when his car left the A426 Rugby Road, near Southam, and hit some trees.

In a statement his family said: "George was our eldest son doing exceptionally well in life and will be dearly missed by us and so many people who knew him.

"Thank you for all the support we have received in this very sad time."

A police spokesman said they were continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision that happened when the blue Renault Clio that Mr Ireland was driving, from Rugby towards Southam, left the road before going down an embankment into a quarry.
