Radiator pipes and boiler stolen from Exhall house

Burglars who stole pipes and a boiler from a house only left after putting tins under radiators to catch water leaks.

The central heating theft was discovered, in Longford Road, Exhall, shortly before 19:00 GMT on 25 November.

A police spokesman said the boiler was taken off the wall and the pipes inside removed.

A neighbourhood watch co-ordinator condemned the burglars.

Lynne Price, from the area's neighbourhood watch, said: "It's the first I've ever come across an occupied dwelling having it done, empty properties yes but but not an occupied dwelling.

"I'm appalled by it. Their house has been violated, it's awful."

She urged people to be good neighbours and keep an eye on each others homes.
