Tiarnan Welland named as A423 crash victim

An 11-year-old boy who was died when he was hit by a car as he crossed a road to catch a school bus has been named.

Tiarnan Welland was crossing the A423 between Southam and Farnborough in Warwickshire on Thursday morning when the accident happened, police said.

The 68-year-old male driver of the vehicle, a Ford Mondeo, stopped at the scene and is helping police with their inquiries.

Witnesses have been asked to contact police.
