Two killed in Stratford-upon-Avon open-top bus crash named

Two men who died in a crash involving a car and an open-top bus in Stratford-upon-Avon have been identified.

Michael Stewart Abdou, 19, from Hockley Heath, died when the Ford Fiesta he was driving hit a tourist bus on Featherbed Lane at about 15:15 GMT on Saturday.

Mr Abdou and his passenger, Michael James Steven Dugmore, 21, of Wilmcote, both died at the scene.

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, near Pathlow, on the outskirts of the town.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said Mr Abdou died after suffering multiple injuries in the crash.

His passenger, Mr Dugmore suffered a traumatic cardiac arrest.

The male driver of the open-top bus was taken to Warwick Hospital with leg injuries, along with two passengers, who suffered minor injuries.
