Child car seat safety advice offered in Warwickshire
Car child seat advice clinics are being held in Warwickshire after it emerged during checks that four out of five children were not correctly restrained.
Seats being incorrectly fitted or damaged were among problems which came to light during safety checks in the county in September.
The first of four clinics will be held on Monday at Asda, Corporation Street, Rugby, from 09:00 to 15:30 GMT.
Warwickshire County Council and police have been involved in the initiative.
Other problems which emerged in September included children being secured with an adult seatbelt so the seatbelt cut across the child's neck, and children being transported in the wrong seat for their age and size.
