Man's body found in Coventry front garden

The body of a man has been found in the front garden of an empty property in Coventry.

Police believe the body, which was found in North Avenue, Stoke, is that of a man in his early 30s and are treating his death as unexplained.

Officers believe the man was last seen in Walsgrave Road about 19:00 BST on Wednesday and appealed for information.

The landlord of the property, which is being renovated, discovered the body on Thursday morning, police said.

Det Insp Martin Slevin said: "The death is unexplained at this stage and I'm appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in North Avenue overnight from Wednesday June 6 to Thursday June 7 to contact me."

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place later.
