A 19th Century blacksmiths and wheelwrights shop, which won a television competition to gain money for its restoration, has been holding an open day.

Chedham's Yard in Wellesbourne. Warwickshire, won BBC TV's Restoration Village in 2006.

It has been restored with cash from the lottery and the BBC Restoration Trust.

The site has opened for pre-booked visits by the public on Saturdays until the end of October.

Demonstrations from a blacksmith were taking place at the open day on Saturday.

Chedham's Yard, which closed in 1965, won the BBC competition after viewers voted it should be restored.

The site was owned and run by seven generations of the Chedham family.
