A £4m upgrade to three high-rise blocks in Coventry city centre has been completed.

Whitefriars Housing spent the money on Hillfields, Paradise house and the 16-storey Thomas King House.

The majority of the money has been spent on new bathrooms, kitchens, double glazed windows and gas central heating, a spokeswoman said.

The finished work brings an end to a six-year project by Whitefriars Housing for the area.

Mercia House, off Corporation Street in the city centre, is the next block earmarked for renovation, a spokeswoman said.
